Price check - '91 C2 cab
Hi folks,
I'm checking out a 964 this weekend and am looking for some bargaining price input. Here are the details I have for it:
Red ext, Black int
90k miles
clutch done at 60k
No issues, has a good service record (the history was forwarded to me) and looks to have been maintained toward the "meticulous" side.
Seller is asking $21k. Even the opening price isn't unreasonable, provided it really is as nice as it sounds. It has been for sale for several months and I would like to push for a good deal but I don't want to be insulting. Does 19k sound like a bargaining opener?
Cheers,
nick

Yes if you explain to him why 19K is reasonable. I hate it when people just throw numbers around just because they are lower than the asking price. Show him your research and explain to him why he should accept your price and that won't be insulting to a reasonable person. Just throw a number at him and you're likely to put him off unless he's desperate. Good luck!

"My client feels this offer is more than generous and is quite adament about this purchase..." "No?" "Then, if you'll excuse me. I have to catch a flight back to my client. He's a man who insists on hearing bad news immediately..."

I am planning to sell my 1990 c2,however in order to keep the value up for a great porsche like the 964, offer more then the asking price !
Even when it is only $5.00 in a couple of years our 964s will be worth $30.000 ! Paul
