Default WTB! Cab top part and questions

I am in need of a main cab top bow, drivers side.
Part # is 911.561.927.00 70B

While we are here, a couple of questions for those who have had this part welded.
How is it holding up?
I am assuming you have gone to manual operation since reparing it?

Thanks!

I had mine welded for $40, and it is holding up fine. I have gone to manual operation, but use the power locks.

One last try... don't need the part but has anyone else had the part welded and use manually long term?
Doc, how long has yours been repaired?

It seems like this would be a good solution and would last for the life of the car...

It's been 3 or 4 years, Mark, and absolutely no problems.
