Idle after battery disconnect?

WEll my luck.
I got my car back...driving beautifully. EXCEPT that when Im sitting in neutral she doesn't idle perfectly like she did before I dropped her off at the Porsche mechanic.
I called him, and he said that he had disconnected the battery during the job.
In neutral she idles up and down slowly always between 750-1000 RPM. I went for a drive for a few hours...nice highway ride, some city driving. When I got back, and put her in neutral, same thing....up and down.
Is this normal behaviour after a battery disconnect? If so, how long does it take for the CPU to "learn" everything it needs to get the idle back to perfect?
Any help would be great.
All the best,
Jack

Something has changed , the problem was not fixed by driving the car ,
maybe if he hooks it up to the hammer and reads the codes / does an idle adaptation ...
