That satisfaction feeling's hard to understand till you've slayed that dragon. Pop back in with a report on your first post-'little' caliper drive. (Figure you've got some brake bleeding to do now...) Congrats.

I have on my list the same project very very soon (I have all the parts, I just need time) and this made me think the following.
With the appropriate hex long 10 mm (left in the picture above) can't I just use an impact wrench? (I don't see the shop spraying and waiting for days...)

Put a drop of liquid wrench on now , wait a few days , put another drop on , repeat until the day you take it in .

Here is a picture of what I used for the bottom bolt. I was able to use a simple hex socket for the top one. Still with the extension bar though! The 10mm hex bar is an allen key with the end cut off and the extension bar is an old tent pole. This allowed me to clear the suspension arm and lever from underneath. The universal joint is just because it was the perfect length. I'll post a post drive report when I've bled the system but this won't be for a couple of days.

Fantastic! Good job on getting them off.
Every time someone posts about how hard the lower shock bolts are to get off I am going to start responding with, simply, GTBO: Grind those bitches off.
The bolts on the calipers are much harder since you can't simply grind the heads off.
Lonnie: don't be so sparing with your use of the blue wrench. Geeeesh.

ok -- don't know what you're talking about when you go all 'code talker'.
blue wrench? (Me? I've been somewhat quiet, lately. Just don't go teaking on me.) Getting ready for the big VIR soiree this weekend. And my elbow tendon's flarin'.
