Default What electronics are at floor level in a 964?

Parked my car overnite in the wrong spot. Water got deep enough that the rear floor mats were wet. Think anything else may be effected? Seems okay so far.

The DME is under the drivers seat and the stereo amplifier is under the passenger seat. I have had water in my floor behind the seats too. You would have to have a very deep puddle to affect the electronics.

Passenger seat also has the cruise control module, and best I recall the alarm module is there as well. All are expensive to replace, so I would pull back the carpets and make sure the boxes, connectors and wiring harnesses are dry.

Doesn't whether items are under the "drivers" or "passengers" seat depend on whether you have a LHD or RHD?

As a long-term preventive, you should remove both seats, the DME from the driver's seat, the Alarm module, amp (if you have one), and cruise control, and dry them out good by sitting them in the sun and make sure the connectors are dry, too. This is going to hurt them in the long run if you let them sit damp... (the spoiler control on a 92 is under the dash )

Spoiler module on 92 is on the bulkhead above passenger's feet near the center tunnel.

There is also a lot of soundproofing material under the carpeting of the 964s which can absorb and hold water. My suggestion would be to take the seats and (non-fixed) carpeting out and run a dehumidifier inside the car to avoid potential rust issues and nasty problems like mold build up.

The water (thankfully) did not reach the slightly raised section of floor under the seats where the electronics are. The foot wells(?) behind the seats got wet, I ran my super shop in each side for about 1/2 hour yesterday and it seems to have sucked the floor insulation dry. Looks like I am good. Thanks for the responses.
