update on stalling hesitation problem.
I took the p car to a local shop and did not find any codes. Car was starving for fuel and stalling and hesitating. He updated the the electric connections to the air flow meter and for now seems to be fine. We will see. Does this sound like a possible final fix for a very frustating problem. Dme is new that so that was not the problem. any thoughts

There was not a wire tie around the connector. Connector is now replaced and for now seems to run fine. Only drived it around my house. Need to make sure if I go any futher that I have the extra time to get towed if fails again.

I'm sure you can look up the tsb. I think that the wires were cut to the same length and inserted into the connector, but then the connector has to inserted on a right angle, and it makes the wires or the pins pull out of the connector. Porsche's cheapo fix was to wire tie the wires so they wouldn't move.
If your mechanic re installed a connector, then you should be ok.

My wrench found nothing obviously wrong, but did do the AFM TSB, and it has been fine ever since, touch wood.
