can anyone tell me the part number or accurate name of the diagonal strut that goes from the passenger side rear bumper section back to the body just behind the left rear wheel ? (if looking at the car from the rear). (right hand drive).

i noticed mine had broken away at the body at the weekend making that left piece of the bumper a little flappy and a bit concerned that some spirited driving might see it torn away from the airflow.

Car is a 1990 C4 964.

Do i need to get non-common parts like that from an official Porsche dealer or would after-market parts suppliers be my best option ?

Looks like #17 - 964 504 875 00 This part (support tube) is the same for either side. Look for it at an auto wrecker I would say.

Mark, that support tube is about £30 from an OPC. It was one of the first thing I replaced when I got mine (the other side had already been done).
