Default Will a 1989 C4 tranny fit in place of a 1991

The 1989 C4 tranny has a different part number for the front housing (bell housing). I wonder if there is any significant difference that would cause problems bolting an '89 tranny up in place of a '91. Also wonder if I can still use my DMF in a 1989 tranny. Anyone have any experience here?

Drew,
The 89 transmission is totally different to the 91 . Starter , Flywheel , are not compatible as they are physically different . Your DMF will not fit !
