Wheel Fitment Question?

Wheel Fitment Question?
What is the general widest or lowest offset wheel you can fit on a C4 narrow body?
I know it will vary a bit depending on wheel widths and offsets, but if you guys can give me a general idea of what fits, in the 17" wheel range, that would help me out.
What if you roll the fenders? Can you get that much out of them by rolling them?
Thanks.

My information is based on what I've seen from others. Generally in the front you're looking at a 17x8 wheel with a 47 or so offset. Anything lower and it will touch the fender. And even with that configuration it depends on the tires. Some people have gone as far as 235/45/17 on a front wheel, but that's really pushing it IMO.
In the rear I think 9.5x17 is the widest wheel you can use and a 265/40/17 tire. Offset around 47 as well. Also make sure you fatten the oil line before you that.
As a comparison I use 8x17 in the front with a 52mm offset and a 225/45/17 tire and 9x17 in the rear with a 47mm offset and 255/40/17 tire.
Hope that helps.
