Default Steering Wheel compatibility?

Does anyone know how far up the model line the steering wheels are compatible? I went to Gert's site and saw that his raid wheels fitted all models up to 997. If that is the case, do factory wheels from a GT3/996/997 fit 964s?

Thanks

Mark

They do not fit.

The 993 wheel will, but you have to swap column. Otherwise the nut will not have enough threads to be safe.

No easy way, MOMO is an option by running bag less...

My research found the same - a Momo or perhaps a RUF with airbag (big bucks). There's also a 3-spoke OEM Sport steering wheel that fits - available on eBay or at Suncoast Porsche (about $400?)

Which factory three spoke fits? Does it have an airbag?

Are you referring to this 3-spoke wheel?

That's the one and I've seen it for $399 on eBay and I think at Suncoast. Then again, Automotion is 15% off for PCA members when you phone in your order. The only airbag 964 wheel I've seen other than OEM is the RUF one for something like $1800.

That 3 spoke wheel is the 930 S wheel. I actually liked the grip of the MoMo better when I had one. No cheap aftermarket air bag wheels for the 964. Plan on spending over $700.00.

I want to do the column conversion and use a 993 RS wheel. Someday.

So would that 3-spoke 930S wheel fit a 964/965 w/o any column mods? Naturally, the airbag warning light would have to be dealt with separately.
