Rob Mugglestone has a contact for wheel nuts I think. about £36 for a full set iirc.

Have you got the nuts off yet? if not be careful when you do, I had an over tightend one and put some welly into it when taking it off and the hexagon part sheared off leaving teh bottom of the nut firmly stuck. Ended up with a £150 bill to get it removed without knackering the wheel !

could've avoided if I'd used an impact wrench rather than a big bast*rd bar!

I'm taking it back to the tyre fitters today, so if there is any problem, it's their problem....if you know what I mean!

I'll let you know how it goes guys.

Cheers,

Mark.

Hi guys,

I took the car back to the tyre shop, and they removed all the rear nuts and we checked them over together. Nothing appeared wrong with either the nuts or the studs so they were re-fitted at 130 NM. They have agreed to replace fund the replacement nuts too. So I am happy with the outcome.

One last question though........ Should locking wheelnuts be tightened to the same 130NM, or less? I have read somewhere that they have been know to sieze. . . . . . .

Next job is the sharkfin.........!

Cheers,

Mark.
