Hero to Zero
At long last I picked her up this morning, H&R Greens, Bilstein HD's and the Poly Ueurothane bushes.
Firs impressions (100 miles) are good: much more stable in the long corners, more responsive in the sharp ones and a lot less crashy ride on the straights. Only surprise is how firm the ride is - but then I was never looking for a luxury barge!
Many thanks to all that have given me advice on the subject over the past few months.

Nice one James. New susspension is 3rd on the list. will probably happen some time this year. Do you mind me asking how much it was to fit? and did you source the parts seperately.

Looks great!
Wow! That really looks good! Sounds like you are pleased with the performance on the road and the improvement is all around. Looks great to boot! I hope to install a suspension before the end of the year, just soon as I make up my mind what to spring for.

Yep, ditto to all the above - looks great. Makes me want to get mine done now!
Clear corners are looking good too. I've asked Santa, so hopefully he'll see I've been a good boy this year!

Disaster!
Dreadful news chaps, just had quite a nasty accident on the motorway. No one hurt fortunately but absolutely gutted about the car. Hit some black Ice on a slip road and it spun several times hitting the crash barriers. Was just thinking how I've finally finished all my projects on it.
Off to pour myself a very large and strong drink now. Would be glad to hear of any advice you chap might have with dealing with insurance companies and accident repair shops in SE England.
Ps: the bill which I paid this morning was £2,000 in total including new starter motor and an oil change. At least I took some nice pics before the accident!

Three Wheelin'
Basta~d!!!
At least your OK.
Any damage to the chassis will write the car off!
At least the bill will add to the value ov the car.
Good luck with the claim, let me know how it goes.

Just so sad as really was perfect in everyway for me now: engine rebuild, new oil lines, suspension, re-spray, recent clutch, brand new discs and pads, stereo upgrade etc. Just about everything of cost has been repaired or replaced in the last 18 months.
If she doesn't make it through would love another but just don't think I can stomach the hassle or expense of getting another p car sorted again and most on the market appear to be dogs.
What a strange day.

What a pity! Looked great.
Just reflect on the fact that YOU WILL STILL be able to celebrate the Holiday Season.

Tell you what though chaps these cars a very very strong - I barely felt a thing. Was always a bit worried about the safety of an older car but when it came down to it was pleasantly surprised.
