Steve,
Yes but it's actually his wife, Monda's car. This is truly a no expense spared car that is super competitive. Someone is going to get a VERY nice RSA!

the leading edge rear wing, motons, and big reds are V class modifications, the RSA is in K class A(38 base points), I didn't look at every single modification but I think this car would end up in V2.

Thanks Cory,

I'll look through the GCR's tonight and confirm. If in fact in V2, I wonder what it takes to be competitive there on either of the Willow tracks? Just looked at latest STS results on the short track and the winning V2 cars are 1:29 - 1:30 and on the big track they are running 1:35. This RS looks faster than that so maybe V3 or 4????

Thanks again Cory

My father runs in V2. V2 isn't a very highly populated class like V3. V2 cars should be faster than V3 but there is A LOT more competition in V3 so they are almost always faster (look at the car counts in the results). V2 usually runs in the red group and that scares some competitors away. Unfortunately it isn't that easy to go from PCA rules to POC, the philosophys are pretty different.. The PCA allows a lot of mods like big brakes and adjustable dampers and runs at a high weight with a full interior while the POC gives a lot of points for those mods but allows you to gut the interior, convert to widebody, and run at a much lower weight. For example in V3 most of the guys are running stock brakes, revalved Bilsteins, torsion bars, 3.2s, etc, but their cars have been lightened up with a bunch of fiberglass parts - they are fast because their set-ups are well optimized, cars are built to the extent of the rules, and the drivers are very good. There is another RSA prepped for POC for sale on the POC board that is a nice car.

Thanks again Cory. You're right about V2, usually a much smaller group of participants there. I did notice the V3 times are lower as well.

As to the other track prepped RSA, I actually had a chance to see and drive that car, although not on track. It is a decent car. It's been months on the market though.

All the best..................
