How do you lose weight in a 964
I want to loose some weight but I also want a finish look in my 91 cabriolet. I like agility and a quick start. I want to go in that direction.
I am sure plenty of you guys have done this. Can you share some ideas for a start and some finishes.

Those wheels on your avatar look heavy. I'd start there. There's nothing better than getting rid of unsprung weight.
Do you have the rear shelf (replacing the rear seats)? You can get rid of it. Engine undertray? Bye-bye!

You probably won't get many more responses with an attitude like that.

Well, I'm breaking at least one rule I know of on this forum, that being a first post without pics, but I have to comment on MassGuy's response. Given that the request was for *ideas* (presumably) for achieving "agility and a quick start", I'd say Ilko was right on the money. Those 18" (19"?) wheels will do more to PROHIBIT this goal than many other weight saving ideas out there. I, for one, am all for weight savings (my 1990 C2 Coupe is down to about 2,850lbs +/-). But there's reality, and then there's what you're willing to do...

That's right, we've got the problem.
For chrissakes, the guy offered you some sound, helpful suggestions and you dismissed him as someone who didn't know what he's talking about. What the hell is that? And when others suggest you may want to reconsider your approach, you fire back with another insult? Good grief, man, are you trying to get help or start a war?
And for the love of god, his friggin' user name is ILKO, not Inko, M***Guy!
