$16-17K if it passes PPI without issues. Take $2K off if it needs a new clutch.

Also, can your friend wait until the Spring before she sells the car? Cabrios are not all the rage at this time of the year in the North East.

+1. I figured I got a "pretty good" deal on my 90 C2 cab 3 years ago at $17K with quite a few oil leaks and 100K on the clock, but good running and great cosmetics.

I drove the car over the weekend and as far as I can tell the car willneed the following:
Clutch - Replacing the master and slave might get it to work ( it's soft and low ) although it would be safe to assume a replacement
Spoiler - does not retract
Heater - blows cold air only

A PPI would sort all the details out.

On the plus side - no oil leaks, it has the rear seat delete from the factory, it has factory rocker panels,

I'll post all the details in the "For Sale" section. I think @ $15,000 or so it could be a pretty good deal.

what are factory rocker panels? Probably could get a few hundred dollars for the wind stop....if selling for only $15K, I'd sell that sepearatly on fleabay (or this site). They are not that easy to find, and work great...

By the way, I've never seen a later 964 that had the rear seats...the "rear-seat delete" seems to have become the standard from 92 or so through the end of the run in model year 94

Definately in the low 20's, don't give it away like these people above are saying.
