You are right! that is one thing, I was thinking of doing. Is removing the MAF and chip and doing a run. So I can see the gain before and after. The Dyno place offers three pulles on Tuesday nights for $50 .
It is just a matter of having some time to run up there and do it. I hope to in the next few weeks.

I just say don't judge, if you don't have facts. I will dyno tomorow and show you how many HP i got, in 2 weeks i recieve set and dyno again. Then we got facts, and then judge.

This thread kinda reminds you of the thread a year or so ago where some
super-promo-hype guys were selling the idea of riping-off the Bosch Motronic
system and replacing it with a Motec system on a stock engine. When the
dyno data were finally revealed and one normalized that data for just the
Motec mod, little to no real benefit resulted.
Once that failed, they focused on promoting a redesigned 964 motor for
super big bucks, please! The 964 is a 15+ year old car, leave well enough
alone and get a life.

Loren,
I really don't know what you are talking about or your what your hostilely toward me is from.
I don't believe there is a reason to be disrespectful, and tell me to get a life...what is that about?
I just wanted to share a mod that I am really enjoying, with the forum, That is the point of Rennlist Correct?
One thing is true I do have 258 hp at the rear wheel now, so is that a mistake? do I not know what I have seen?

IIRC yours is a 92 car? I would think that's the reason why 98 is recommended (just like RSs which came out at the same time). IIRC, again, super-unleaded did not become freely available in the UK until after 1990 so I guess that is why those of us with early cars only receive a 95 ron recommendation. Since I'm sure there's little difference between the early and later cars I don't see why I shouldn't run mine on 97+ ron either .
Now that one's cleared up, let's get back to the main event of this thread - more power!

To be fair, Loren should be allowed to view and comment in this thread just as anyone. And like anyone, those comments should be non-personal in nature.
But telling someone here to leave a +15 year car alone is preaching to the unconvertible heathen. I mean who here is driving a bone stock car? I'd wager less than 20%.

I'm also very skeptical. Look at the 993. It has a MAF, better exhaust and intake and still doesn't make the numbers claimed with this upgrade. I hope the tests show otherwise. I'll certainly take one if it does.

A lot of you seem to think this is a new idea, well it isn't. I have had a MAF conversion on my car for about 6 years and has been dynoed at 294bhp at the flywheel! It's not magic, it is just far less restrictive than a great big flap of metal in the flow of the intake as in standard. I think 9M have proved with their heads how important airflow into an engine is. Why do you find it so hard to believe?

Here are the results from the first sets of Dyno runs, the number is there.
sorry I keep trying to attach it so you can just see it in the body of this message but it will not work
Really the only thing that it will prove when I take the stuff off, is the total gain. But the car does make it now.
