high miles, no reserve
Where do think this will end up?
1990 C2, blk/blk, 162k miles
I asked the seller a few questions, and found that:
1. It leaks "3-4 drops" of oil per day
2. No paperwork for rebuild at 132k miles
3. They are just looking for an "easy" purchase
Seems like it could be a good deal, if a thorough PPI was done and came back clean (i.e., the oil leak is nothing major).
Any good shops in LV?

"the AC is GOOD but needs recharged (really, just a recharge)" I mean, seriously, if its just a recharge nad you are selling the carf, why don't you just have it recharged. Really, just a recharge!

Yeah, it's a bit suspicious for sure. Still, what little feedback he has is all from selling cars...
Anyway, it's really too far to get too serious about it. I'm not sure I could part with that much money without seeing the vehicle in person first, though I have sold two cars on ebay with good results!

The old story about the "ac works but just needs freon" is one of my biggest pet peeves in the used car selling world. If it needs freon, then it isn't functioning. It doesn't work. Period. Does it blow cold air - yes or no? If it just needed a can of freon, the seller would have already done it. Don't get me started...
Also, an engine rebuild without documentation is just an interesting story. Nothing more. It adds no value to the car without paperwork.

If he's got so much history, then where are the details? What else has been done? Valve adjustment? How bad is this oil leak? Clutch? Suspension? I can't imagine a well-maintained car still rides on original parts but there's nothing to suggest otherwise. It could be a very nice car and an amazing deal for someone ... but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.
I'm with vitaminC, it's a bit suspicious. How did this California car end up in Las Vegas? Why isn't the seller more forthcoming or up front? If he's selling this car for someone, then just say so! Why so cryptic?

I would call the 968 I drove today high miles: 230k!
What really amazes me about the "high mileage" cars I've looked at is just how solid they still are. Very impressive!

"Well maintained" and "engine rebuilt", but still no distributor vent? Looks like it could be a screaming deal, but the seller is flipping the car and may be unaware of problems.
