Default Greetings from a newcomer

Hello from a not so recent '89 C4 owner - I've had the car for almost a year now. She has 85k miles and is in pretty good shape, some items need my attention of course.
I'd like to thank everyone who contributes to the Rennlist forums, I've found answers to most of my questions here.
Right now - time to put the D90's and winter tires on...

John

Nice! You have obviously cared for her.

My 1st Porsche was a 1990 red C-2. I wish I had never sold her!!!

Welcome - car looks great (even if the black ones get the specially selected engine ).

Thanks Marc, I wasn't aware of the black engine option, but the consensus here is that the red ones are still the fastest....right?

Arne, I'm no expert here so I'll go by what I can see - they are 16 inchers, the fronts have 55 7 by the valve stem so is that a 7 inch rim? The rears have 70 9. Maybe someone can enlighten me on this?
Tires are 205 on the front and 245 rear.
Not too many people seem to be running 16 inch wheels here, most opt for 17's it seems.
Hope this helps,
John

The 964's I've been in seemed to be quite a lot quicker with the 16s vs the 17s, due to the smaller final drive ratio I guess.

Welcome aboard.

By the way, I'm a fan of red 964s too. I have two of them.

Thanks John, the 7 & 9 are the width and the 55 & 70 are the offset. I have not seen these wheels offered in the 16" size before. Great looking car.
