searched and searched.... my areo mirrors have the usual wires plus 2 purple ones.. I have not seen any posts mentioning purple wires.. what do these connect to?? the car has the 5 wires . I'm working on the passenger side. Hooked up driver side without a problem.

 

I don't see any purple wires . . .

 

Note that if you have a digital computer in your tach then there is a temperature sensor in one of the mirrors. I had thought it was the driver's side, but perhaps it's the passenger side?

sorry, did you say you HAVE all of those wires. If so I'll bet the purple are the temp sensor; of course, guessing is no good!

I only have up to 93 and they are the same.

I would try taping those two purples off by them selves, but I can't advise you to, because I don't know for sure. You could blow something.

That number you posted does not compute as a part # on my PET (v6)
