My buddies 07 Boxster beat up my 1990 Targa.....![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Car is FAST especially through the twisties....I couldnt hang on to him. Even on the highway home, the thing moves out...Good value in that car. I think I would take one over a 911 Cabriolet....it seems to be a better ragtop than the 911..911 is a better hardtop...
Dont underestimate those roadsters....especailly the new S models...I took his for a drive, and it rocks.
Gotta run,
Jack

Jack,
It is time to pull up your socks and make some improvements on your car! Your car looks stock.....how about some aftermarket sway bars for those twisties? Lowering Springs and replacement shocks may be in order!

Well, you've got a car that's arguable twice the price of yours. And in 5 years it will be worth what yours will be. That said, if you're still on a stock suspension with skinny tires on 16" wheels.........it's a tough go against anything new. Even something quite pedestrian with a halfway decent power/weight ratio.
Personally, I have shopped them against my likely 993 cab purchase, but just can't get excited on either generation of Boxster. Maybe almost 30 years of 911 ownership has forever tainted me. (I'm starting to sound like those old 356 guys I ran into when I just got my first 911!)

Any Porsche is Great,You can make that 17 year old car keep up with the Boxster S .Air cooled all the way!I'm not a big rag top fan so I would never be in that market.the only one would be 550,in my dreams!:

Drop those flag-mirrors, they cost you seconds....
That's the great thing when streetracing in a 17 year old car, if you win, you're on top of the world, if you lose, "hey! what did you expect from a 17 y.o. car?"
Either way you win.... burnout::
