First Porsche, new Rennlister (Australia)
Hey there just paid the deposit on my very first Porsche. Its a 1993 964 Amazon Green, with a bit of luck there is a picture of her attached, if not I'll try again in the next post. I am putting it through a PPI tomorrow at Porsche Brisbane, but I think thats going to go very well, from the test drive she handled, performed and sounds great.
So yeah this will be my first Porche and my first real car, I have come from being a fan of the two wheeled kind. I Currently own a '06 Hayabusa and recently parted with an '03 R1.
This is my first real endevour into vehicles, and i figured what better than a Porsche. I came real close to going with the '89 930 but had a lot of trouble finding one with decent KM and in good condition. Seems most the P-Cars here in Australia have been given a real good thrashing with tonnes of KM on them, and the ones that are not are way up there with the unrealistic pricing. Still I am a huge fan of the wide body look over this one, so I plan to go with a widebody kit, but have idea where to start. Any directions from you guys would be awesome. Somewhere in Australia would be the best for me otherwise some place that has a good history with shipping to international desitinations.
Thanks seeya around, these boards have been invaluable to me in deciding what car to go for.

Welcome Dan! Love the colour... There's not many aussies on the board and you'll find that even taking in to account shipping, duty, etc... it's still cheaper to import from the USA. If you want to talk specifics P.M. me and I'll give you a list fo the overseas suppliers that I've used. Have a great ride and enjoy!

Welcome Dan. Great choice for your first proper car. Problem is, how will you ever be able to move on to better things when you have started with the perfect car?!?! Great colour too

We are going to have to get you a better shot of your car for your avatar. I know someone that took some shots of my car at a skid pan day and if we ask him nicely he might take some shots of your car.

Hey, ill get some more photos as soon as possible, its pretty dark and gloomy outside right now so wont be getting any good sunlight photos just yet. Im excited, the car is going through the PPI as I type this post and the anxiety is just about chewing me up.
Thanks to the guys who offered help on parts and what not, Ill send you guys a PM once I have settled in with it. I had a look around and found the local Queensland Porsche Club, are any of you BNE guys members of that? What are the drives like, is there much opportunity to get out and make a day of it with other pcar owners?
Cheers,
Dan
