I am interested in a 964 in Dallas and was wondering if anyone who lives in that area knows of a reputable Porsche mechanic who can do a ppi on the car.
Jon,
I do not live in Dallas but their are two shops there that I have used and trust. The RUF dealer north of Dallas, call and talk to Hans. Also Mayo Performance, located in Euless. (817 540-4939) Ed Mayo and the people who work with him are very good I do recommend them. These two places have worked on my 964 RS America and always did a very good job. I will use them again when the time comes.
Fred
Hans is a great guy and has a fantastic shop. He is in the Addison area. I have also used Nine-Eleven Enterprises, you can contact Barry at 972-241-2002. Barry speciailizes in air-cooled 911's. Barry is close to TX Stadium in Dallas.
I agree with RUF. I was there yesterday with my 993 and two of my friends have their 993s serviced there. However, they are pretty busy these days with Rennsport and the PCA Palooza so they may be booked. I hear good things about Mayo.
I would be happy to do a drive by and put my hands on the car for you. The only fee is a beer when you come to town to pick it up - if it works out. I had a 964 so I know my way around them.
