A 1990 Model Year C2 manufactured in 1989 would get a "G" plate. Model Year letter in the VIN would be an "L".

Yes, some were manufactured in '89, though they were MY90 spec. My old C2 was first registered in the UK on 17th November 1989 - it's VIN ended in 0915 so there were a few built in '89.

Edited to add: It doesn't look too bad - astronomic mileage, worth checking with the seller if it's had an enginne rebuild. The respray was a bit cheap, more like a blow-over, so check the paintwork.

Doesn't look too bad to me, and I'd say the current owner has replaced some of the stuff that wears out - and things like rear light replacement show that he's done more than the bare mininmum.

Mileage is high - but the rebuild was only 60k miles ago. My car has 175k on it, rebuild was 55k ago and it's still pretty strong. Might make selling it in future hard though.

I'd put in an extra 5k for immediate respray ( to another colour). Sorry- you asked.

Apparently, there's no a/c. Is this an issue?

This is cheap for the UK. Reasonable to good 964s go for between 30K-40K USD here.

heh heh - yeah good point!

other than the mis-spelling - would Mobil 1 suit a motor with such high miles?

I'd have thought it too thin...
