I noticed that all the heat came out the dash vents even when the up/down lever was moved to down. By applying 12V to the motor control pins 4 and 5, I got it switched to the lower vents. It goes back if I connect the servo again, so I left it off for now.
Has anyone been inside the control unit? I suspect it is not getting the signal from the the potentiometer or the motor driver is bad. The potentiometer is ok.
One of the amplifiers driving the servos was bad. Got a new one and it seems to be ok.
I had to set it up on the bench and connect the pins with clip leads. It was a lot of work.
It would have been easier to do it in the car by pulling out the control unit, cutting all the cable ties and then pulling the cable out from under the console so it would be long enough to connect up the control unit in the passenger's seat. Pull out the DMA relay, connect a battery charger and then run it. Unfortunately, you can't see the servos from inside.
