Default ALMS Road Atlanta

If you haven't been, you should get yourself to one of these races- superbly organized, easy ingress/egress, great access to pits and this year, down to the wire in 2 of the 4 classes.

This was my second year going to Road Atlanta for the Petit Lemans. Great race and the track is very cool with all the hills and such. I have been going to the 12 hours of Sebring since 2002 and its a great track but flat and very hot. I'm glad I started going to Road Atlanta also. The weather was great this year.

Ritter,I agree, great access to the Pit area and lots of P-cars to see.

Heres Porsche's new entry for ALMS LMP1 Class to compete with the Audis next season. The rules currently favor diesels.

When I lived in Huntsville, AL (97'-01') I never missed an ALMS race @ RA. I was standing on the outside of the back straight when Dalmas flipped. Man was I pissed, I drove 4hrs just to see the 98 GT1 kick some butt and then that happened. Petit LeMans is not to be missed if you are anywhere near the track you must make the trip. I went the the actual LeMans in 06' THAT is mind blowing!!

What were the lines like in and around LeMans- I've seen pics and they look pretty bad.
I'd like to go but I am long-line intolerant.
