Default install basket brake light

I will likely install a basket handle rear brake light. Anyone remove their's recently that can make a template for the holes for me? thanks

Steve,

If you have the rear window wiper option you must be very carefull of the postioning of the basket handle (the wing postion is higher on the deck lid of a 964 than a 993). When I did mine I ended up with about 1/16th clearance between the wing as it goes up and the same with the wiper base when the engine lid is raised. To position mine I bought a piece of thin aluminum strap, bent it to the deck lid shape, placed it along the base of the basket handle and marked the stud locations, then used it for a template. I drilled the holes a bit over-size to allow for some adjustment. I also remember having to Dremel the under lid sheet metal for some clearance for the nuts.

By the way are you changing out rear glass to get rid of the old brake light surround?

Yes, I changed out the glass with Euro glass. I need to post that.
