Can anybody refer a good independent shop in the Alameda or Contra Costa County area of the SF Bay Area? With my previous 993 I went to Denny Kahler in Dublin, but he has sold the shop and apparently retired.

I've found some older posts on this topic, but nothing recent.

S-CAR-GO in San Rafeal, or RMG (http://www.realmeangarage.com/) have pretty good reputations. Rob @ S-CAR-GO is a great guy, it's never cheap there, but quality is great.

Kahlers is ok very the very simple stuff, I don't recommend for air cooled cars w/o Denny.

Sorry those are the closest I know of.
