Look the classifieds, a fellow rennlister is selling a set of red TE37 for a 993. Offsets can work for a 964 with mild spacers.

Cup 1 replicas from tirerack are heavy but not soft. The disadvantage with original CUP 1s is simply the width. You'll usually find them in 17X7 and 18X8 whereas the copies can be ordered in 17X8 and 17X9.

i am buying a set of CCW Cosairs for street wheels (w/ Toyo R888's !) in Black as well
the price is great and had to beat the 1 peice forged weight on a different wheel.
Great track and street wheels - the look is not as polished as Fiskes but i like that really - i am not in it for the bling.
there is no performance increase witht the 18"s over the 17"s for the 964 - but i think it moght come out to be a slightly lighter package overall.
Update your car according to the TSB and your fine in porsche's eyes. YMMV on that though.

also there is a C4 around here running 245 fronts wiht minimal rubbing (275 rears) which is the combo i am going to fit as well.

The general feeling I get from reading about these wheels is that they are the track wheels to have on the 964. I was surprised to find that wheels for Porsche's are so expensive. Compared to my M3, where Kosei K1's are good enough track wheels, the Porsche has no comparable "cheap track wheel". I would buy Cup 1's if I could find them for a reasonable price. I have only heard that the Cup 1 Mille Miglia replicas are heavy and soft... neither of those adjectives are very inviting.

Still deciding between CCW Classics, CCW C14s and Volk TE37's.
Rennlist is awesome.
you do know that c14 is much stronger than the classic right?

yes, kosei k1 is pretty strong and nice, i run those on my track e36m3 as well, but CCW and TE37 are probably the cheapest wheels you will ever find on porsche unfortnately. oh, track pads on these cars are much more costly than m3 as well, and rotor prices make me faint.

I know the C14s are much stronger, but the classics are much CHEAPER I am missing all my old "go-to's" like Kosei K1's, Team Dynamics Race (miata wheels), even SSR's are cheap in comparison to Porsche wheels. Anyway I just want to have fun. It's not 100% necessary to buy new wheels, but since I'm in the market for new tires, it makes sense that I'd have a set of street wheels (D90s) & track wheels.

Cupcar, what upgrades need to be done to my car (it's a stock 90 C2) to make sure it handles the 18"? I take it you're going to go the 18" route too with the CCW's? When are you going to buy the wheels because I'd love to see the black C14's on your white 964 (my car is white as well)...

Thanks everyone, buying wheels that cost as much as a motorcycle is a bit scary.

FYI-

CCW makes a C10, which is very similar to the C14 but it has 10 spokes instead of 14, it is supposed to be 1-2 pounds lighter per wheel. It isn't pictured on their website for some reason. We are going to be buying a couple of sets of C10s in black for one of the racecars.

The dude at CCW (I called) said the C10's were a little bit lighter, but would not be as strong as the C14's. Then he said he wasn't sure why anyone would go with the C10's as the C14's are light already. He said the C10's will flex more under load. But the C10 does look very cool.

The C14's look great on the newer Porsches. On a 964, they look like
"Wagons, Ho!". Prefer the look of the C10's.
