Default Steering rack leak fixed in BKK

Not sure if you are still up for help but I had the same leak problem with my 993. I got it rebuilt at small shop in BKK costing 1/3 of what that dealer quoted me.

Did you manage to cure the steering rack leak problem?
I may have to change mine too.

i'm also in Bangkok.
Unfortunately I did, the expensive way, a full replacement at AAS but what was worst was the 6 week wait for parts. I suppose I'm stuborn but I get everything done there. I heard there are some cheaper ways to get it done in Bangkok, so a good place to ask is www.club911thailand.net at the forum there. Great bunch of helpful people.

I believe that Zims(google them) sells the rack for $400.00 plus core charge which you get back.
