Default Authority MAF

Getting annoyed with hunting idle on my '89 964 C4. My local Porsche specialist suggested replacing current MAF to 993 MAF unit, and I'm thinking of Authority MAF replacement unit.

Anyone has any experience/issues with the 993 MAF option or Authority MAF.

Thanks ahead.

Do NOT swap MAF units. The MAF unit used by APE has a unique curve/calibration. A curve means the relationship between signal voltage (0-5Vdc) and the actual flow in KG/Hr. Two MAF sensors that look 100% identical, may have different curves. The MAF you have and the 993 MAF use two different curves. Just swapping MAF sensors will cause you more problems than you can imagine, not the correct approach to solve a problem.

We have been converting VAF/AFM Porsche to MAF for years with great results. Email me directly, I will be glad to assist you as much as possible.
