Thanks Rennlist
I recently bought a 993 Coupe to keep my 964 Cab company. I have been driving the 993 since it has been too darn hot to drive the cab with the top down and I wanted to get to know the car. Well, I think the 964 was jealous and feeling left out because when I tried to drive it this weekend, it wouldn't start. It has behaved perfectly until now. Thanks to you all, I immediately referred to this site and Adrian's book. I removed the DME relay (after checking the #34 fuse) and found at least 2 cold solder joints in the relay. I made the 3 lead jumper, instaled it and she started fine. After a few minutes of soldering the affected joints (and a few more for good measure) the relay went back in and all is well. Lessons learned (I didn't learn these today, but I relied on them as lessons learned in the past): 1) These cars are like airplanes, they like to be driven, not parked 2) Our cars are not unlike spouses, if we don't spend time with them, they will misbehave 3) When you have a problem, (with your car, not your spouse...) come here first for advice. 4) Always use the search function.
Again, Rennlist and all your posts saved me $$$ and time again! Thanks to all of you who share your experiences with us here.

I'm glad it worked out
As far as spousal problems and advice, Rennlist is as good as Dr Phil. All you need to do is go here: https://rennlist.com/forums/off-topic-81/ - plenty of good and bad advice to be had

Makeup Bling
OK, I'll post pix. Come to the get together on the last Saturday of the month at Winter Park Village, bring your Phat *** Cab with you. Look up CFExotics dot com for px from the last few months.
By the way, I've had a long talk with my Cab. She's pissed because I am running with a younger blond 993. I've agreed to look for some "Bling" for her to make it up to her. Now, I know I may get remarks about being "Porschie Whipped", but it's all worth it.

Steve, you are so right! I have to be careful how low due to my driveway from hell. I'm currently measuring to see where I would scrape my splitters. I think the 993 looks so much better with the aero splitters in the front. I guess I'm used to the 964 and its distinct bumper versus the 993 contoured look.

There really are very few cars that can pull off yellow paintwork and the 993 is certainly one of them. Testament to the classic style of the 911; looks great in any colour. Very nice 993 Fred

Thanks to all,
meek, while I was looking, I looked at several Aero kit cars and I wasn't quite hooked on the Aero kit look. It grew on me and with the yellow car, it looked natural. Now I love it. I looked at a yellow cab earlier this year and really liked the look.
jimq, thanks, I now have my own scanner, I'll check them after the DME relay fix. I should have the 993 at the CFE get together on the 25th for you to see and drive.

That 993 looks great Fred! I love those 18s with the Aero Kit. The motor sound is another great option!
I can relate to Pcars getting jealous. Recently, I have been driving the 964 more than the GT3. I have began to get pissed off with the track costs for my GT3, and the GT3 responded by pissing coolant all over its engine. Kind of reminds me of a dog! Anyway, the GT3 is getting its leaky hose fixed and I now need to give it a bath. I swear, these cars are human sometimes!
