Default Bilstein Complete Kit - Shock + Spring?

I am told that Bilstein now offer a complete kit for the 964 comprising front & rear shocks plus premounted springs. Has anyone got these or have a view as to how they compare to Bilstein HD's + H&R Greens bought seperately?

Ian,

Are you referring to the PSS9 kit? In the US, those cost $2,000 as compared to the Bilstein HD & H&R Green combo of $1,000. The PSS9 gives you adjustability which the track people need.

For me, the Bilstein HD & H&R Green combo is ideal for my style of driving.

Thanks Rocket Rob - I don't know if this is it. Do they do a non adjustable one for road use? I am told that the 89-90 year 964's (mine) Bilstein HD's for the front may be unavailable due to cessation of manufacture

Thanks also Jamie - will check this site out

Ian - The challenge for the owners of 89-90's is the rear shocks. There was a design change in the rear shock mount in late 1990. I'm lucky, I got my Bilstein shocks for my cabrio about 7 years ago. My new car is a 91 and I ordered Bilstein HD shocks and H&R Greens from Automotion, this past Monday.

Maybe someone knows of an adapter for the 89-90 shocks?

EDIT- sorry, should have posted this on the other thread you started

Hi Ian,

I ordered the full kit from shox.com in the US earlier this year. The part numbers are below. My car is MY 1992, so the rears are differnt, as Rob has stated. The numbers are for Bilstein HDs and H&R Greens.

VE3-5277-HO Left Front Damper
VE3-5278-HO Right Front Damper
B46-1547 Rear Dampers ( same both sides ) for MY 91-93
29813 H&R Greens

Adam.

PS May be worth considering buying from the US with the current exchange rate; depending on what deals you can find in the UK. Total for me was £840, including shipping, VAT, import duty and handling charge.

My favorite part of automotion's ordering system is when I see this:

Fits Applications:
911 CARRERA 2 1991-94

Rear Shock
Part Number: 901950
MSRP: $64.95
Our Price: $149.95

Soooo... they sell them for double to MSRP?? I think the MSRP is wrong, but it is not exactly confidence inspiring.
