Can the gears out of a 944 trans work in a G50?

Wasn't sure where to ask this quesion so I thought I'd try the 964 board first. Will the gears out of a 944 transmission work in a G50/52 box???

I want to say, no chance. The 016 series 944 transmissions are based on Audi transmissions. I am extremely doubtful that any of the gear sets are interchangeable within a G50.
