Question 965 rotor size

I have a 965 front rotor disk which is approx 340mm, i want to fit a 305mm rotor to fit my calipers as they are from a 993 c2?

Stock 965 front rotor is 322x32mm

Trying to fit 993 rotors will present some serious problems.

I attempted to fit 993 rotors on my 964 until I figured out the dealership had sent the wrong ones!

The offset of the rotor was quite different if I recall...so my bet would be with Bill on this one.

I concur, the 965 rotors are 322mm x 32mm...they work GREAT with the 993 TT "BIG Red" calipers. Are you trying to fit BIG Reds or just the standard 993 C2 caliper?

The correct caliper for those rotors is either the Big Red or the stock 964 3.3T caliper. The latter is the same physical size and has the same pistons as the n/a 993 front. The difference is that the 964 3.3T caliper(which is also the same as the 964RS front caliper) has a built in boss that raises it up to match the installed height of the Big Red. You can use the 993 n/a front caliper in this app. w/ a caliper adapter(but again, Why would you?)

Slightly OT: Where do you get caliper adapters?

You would probably have to make them.

You could also just swap in a 993 front suspension. Then everything just bolts up ala Geofrey's car.
