The listing was from Los Angeles Dismantlers for Porsche, if I remember correctly? They seem to auction a lot of stuff on Ebay: they had a set of wheels I was interested in, but ended up buying some from elsewhere. It would be good to hear feedback from folks who've dealt with them.

Search here and on the 993 forum for more but....

In short, stay away from LA Porsche Dismantlers. I hear people have had good luck in dealing with them in person.
I will never do business with them again. They simply do not care about their Customers. They want to turn a quick buck and do not value repeat business. You get a lot of "yeah yeah, we got that" on the phone. Then the wrong thing shows up. No refunds, only exchanges.
On the eBay side, I've noticed many of their ebay "auctions" are usually outrageoulsy priced with a "Make Offer" option. Sleazy folks, IMO.

So, if you have had good luck with them, great! This is my opinion based on my experience with them. Far too much experience with them, unfortunately.
Cheers!

My dealing with LA Porsche was as advertised, I dealt with Frank and
he described the car and detailed every imperfection. I know that they
have moved over the last few months and maybe this why some parts
can not be found. I can say that a small fee was added that was not
agreed on and I am still waiting to be reimbursed.

this used to hold quarter in place and then the lead applied or

Another observation....the original right front fender had been tack welded
in the corner of the fender as viewed when the door is opened. I wish I
would have know this because after removing all the mount bolts this
tack weld add an small dent to a perfect fender. The left fender must
have been recently replaced because it did not have this tack weld and
the under coat was not nearly as like the original.

Hi Steve,

I can't answer your questions, but you may like to start a new thread with them - I suspect that the people who *can* answer may not be following this thread.

That is the carbon canister for the fuel system.

Don't know what it weighs.
