Rick,

I think a photo of C4 YLO and C2 YLO together has got to be a good magazine candidate. If Rob comes along maybe we can get him to put something in Total 911!!!

Hope to see you there.

Dave,

I've left a message for Cliff on PCGB to try to tempt him along ...

We can put something in even if I'm not there!

Slight hijack but is anyone going to the Ace Cafe breakfast meet tomorrow?

If you want to meet at the Polish War Memorial at 8:30 then let me know.

Cheers,

David
Hi David,
I'll try to make it for 8.30, but obviously don't wait around for me.
See you in the breakfast queue

I think those two plates/cars next to my combo would make an excellent pic

OK - the Manager of the Crooked Billet, Dave Everitt, has kindly agreed to our meeting on 26th. I hadn't realised that it's a Bank Holiday weekend but it's all OK as far as he is concerned.

Coffees and bacon sarnies will be on offer - albeit money will have to change hands!! They can also do more exotic breakfasts too if anyone wants anything but I suggested keeping it simple for our first attempt.

I'll plan on getting there for around 10:30 and if everyone else can plan to get there for 11:00 onwards we should be OK.

Steve - if you want to make the trip from "up North" you are very welcome. I haven't seen you and Cate since John's Devon do in 2005!!!

Looking forward to a good one!!!

Great to see David and Greg at the Ace this morning. Surprised the turnout was so low considering the excellent weather.

Regards

Dave

David,

When you suggested a meet up in this part of the world you mentioned a drive out. Have you any ideas where we could drive to?? There are lots of places within striking distance - like Gaydon Motor Museum, Dunstable Downs etc. Can we have some suggestions - from anyone??

It's worth mentioning that the Crooked Billet also do a carvery lunch which is reported to be very good. Depending on the developing plan we may not be around there for lunch but we'll see.

Regards

Dave

A drive could be great but I don't know the area well enough to recommend anything. Anyone else got any ideas?

Cheers,

David

Just a blatant bump to remind everybody that this is organised for the coming Sunday - 26th. I plan on getting there for around 10:30 and expect everybody else to arrive from 11:00 onwards. The location is in the earlier posts on this thread but the postcode is HP18 0QJ for those of you who are Sat-Nav'ed!!

It seems that C2 YLO will NOT be coming (he's on a cruise) but it would be good if we can have a good turnout for this first foray away from Raymond's place.

Looking forward to it - and, hopefully, the weather will cooperate!!

Regards

I'd be up for an earlier drive (while its still quiet), then a coffee to finish at say 10.30/11 ?

Greg,

I think it's just a matter of logistics. Getting a number of people together is always difficult - particularly when they come from all directions. The breakfasts at the Ace are great - not least because they are open. The pub we are meeting at doesn't technically open until 12:00 so there's little point in meeting too soon and if you wanted a convoy drive the finish there you'd have to meet somewhere.

I'd guess the drive up from Windsor is probably quite pleasant - if you can use that adjective in the same sentence as "M25" - but the A41 is very good. Maybe there's some scope to meet others on the way up? J20 on the M25 is the turn off also for J Z Machtech so it should be well known in the Porsche community. Any takers from the London area for a meet. I suspect Kevin will come that way too.

Regards

Dave
