nearest independant is probably La Rose in Sevenoaks followed in distance terms by Parr in Godstone. Both have good reputations.

If you're willing to travel up the M20 to Orpington I recommend Bill Insley - he's done all of my 964 and 964 turbo work and is a good guy. Not sure if he's got all the diagnostics for the 996 but he's worth giving a call. PM me if you'd like his number and say I sent you.
