Default Noise?

How loud is my car?
Does any one know how loud a 964 with only the last box is?
Track days r a bit funny with noise limits.

My RS with a cat bypass, cup pipe and drilled airbox is about 105db at 4500rpm . That was with the clutch in, which reduces the noise! On "noisy" trackdays, which normally allow 105db, I am just careful how far I rev the engine to.

However, on almost all other trackdays, you will not get on. You need to look at alternatives, such as the original system.

I have the same set up on my RS and never been turned away from Oulton Park. Go for it. Don't forget to depress the clutch as that reduces noise (on a LWF).

It seems to me that often they don't even check.
Until you test your car you won't know how many DB's. Many loud sounding cars are still within the limits.

my 3.8 C2 was tested a couple of weeks ago at Bedford and was 97db at a shade over 4k (98 being the limit), but apparently peaked at 101.5.

Seemed that everything there passed including quite a loud scooby, various GT£ and RS's lots of Loti, Monaro VXR etc.
