My RS with a cat bypass, cup pipe and drilled airbox is about 105db at 4500rpm . That was with the clutch in, which reduces the noise! On "noisy" trackdays, which normally allow 105db, I am just careful how far I rev the engine to.
However, on almost all other trackdays, you will not get on. You need to look at alternatives, such as the original system.
108ish? is vloud. most tracks wont let me run at that sort ov noise. Oulton park is my local track, and its a very good track and very strict on noise.
Iam goin to bribe my way on! Its the only way.
Money makes the world go round.... ha ha....
just checked at oulton "106db" is the limit! how loud is my car?
Iam runnin no cat and only the last box!
I havent got access to a noise reader?
My car is v loud it sounds awesome IMHO
Dont wana pay for a track day then get turned away for bein a noisy tw*t, u know wot i mean!!!
I have the same set up on my RS and never been turned away from Oulton Park. Go for it. Don't forget to depress the clutch as that reduces noise (on a LWF).
It seems to me that often they don't even check.
Until you test your car you won't know how many DB's. Many loud sounding cars are still within the limits.
