Default air flow meter adjusting

I just got back from my local Porsche dealer for some service and the mechanic left a note in the service description.

"NOTE: ENG. AIR FLOW METER ADJUSTING ALLEN HEAD WAS ALREADY MODIFIED FOR ADJUSTING WITH A SCREW DRIVEN IN TO THE ALLEN HEAD"

he was gone by the time I got to pick up the car so I did not get a chance to question him on it.

my questions are: Why ?
Is this a common modification?
The way he stated it that it was "already modified" makes it sound like that is a common thing that Porsche would do?

Thanks , car runs great, just thought that was a weird one

You can normally adjust the AFM with a 3mm Allen (Hex) key to set the CO at idle.
