How to tell if shocks are shot

I can see the problem from here. The problem is that the car is not parked in front of MY house. 
Nice "VA is for Lovers" logo on the fender. I should see if the tourism board will pay me to put that on my daily driver. My wife and I gave out "VA is for Lovers" coffee mugs as table favors at our wedding reception dinner.

Update - Suspension is all apart...
I dropped the car at the garage and...
One of the fronts shocks have a dead spot and the other one is just too soft.. The rears seem to be Ok but they're too soft for my taste, I remember the new ones are always way more stiffer. Besides the boots and shock stops are all broken or falling apart.
So I'm biting my tongue and all 4 shocks will be replaced with Bilstein HD.
Here in everything-is-way-more-expensive-Canada all 4 shocks is about $1900 CAN
That's the story... If I get divorced after this unexpected expense I'll request the help from all of you to introduce me to some friends

Total price inc UPS delivery / HST was $320 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just shows that because they are for a Porsche , multiply the price !!

Actually I wanted to compose a list of VW-Porsche parts that are basically the same, I know the relays are, and the sunvisors, the high-beam, turning light lever, etc...
I know its truly unfair, like today I took the new aero mirrors to get them painted and magically when I said the word "Porsche" the price went up by $100!! So the third place I didn't say anything and set the price before telling...
