Default spoiler controller

I got tired of the spoiler going down every time I stopped, so I modified my controller so it stays up after 45mph and does not go down until I turn off the key. Mine is 1991 with discrete parts, but later ones used a microprocessor.
Has anyone else played around wit this?

I installed a switch (following Garret376's advice) to switch on and off the speed sensitive controller.

At the track where I don't want it up and down all day, I can put it up and leave it up. On the street, I can put it back to regular speed controlled rising and lower functions.

Marc, could you highlight how ya did that?

I recently came to a stop with the top out/windows down... and I heard the spoiler come down.. Much more noisy than I'd prefer it (never heard it before, me thinks)..
I would like to keep it up for most driving, but avoid just unplugging the motor at this point.

Cheers,

Mike

See Garrett's thread here .

I followed his direction and mounted a switch on the dash (see below).
