Will 964 Targa latches work on a cabriolet top?

Will 964 Targa latches work on a cabriolet top?
Anyone know if the manual Targa latch is interchangable with the power convertible top latch? They look similar.

That is a great question. If they could be used in place of the electric latch motors then my targa to convertible conversion is a def go! Let's hope some one has the answer.
