My option code sticker is gone under my hood. I've wondered whether or not I had a limited slip differential. The PO did not mention it when I bought the car. A month or so ago I was having a cut tire replaced and I noticed the mechanic turned the rear wheel and the opposite wheel turned with it in the same direction. From what I understand a LSD will turn both wheels in the same direction while an open differential will turn the wheels in opposite directions with the transmission in neutral. I was encouraged, so I did some searching and found that for a 1991 and up USA manual C2's, if the 6th digit of the serial number is a "2" then it's LSD. If the 6th digit is a "1" then it's open. Lucky for me, the 6th digit on mine is a 2! The full number deciphered says that it's a G50/05 with LSD, #2020.

P.S. For a 1990 It's a "1" for LSD and "0" for open.

With the rear two wheels off the ground, try to rotate one wheel while holding the other stationary. If the fixed wheel tries to rotate, you have a limited slip.
