so what's the light for then? Mine is a '92; you sure the light doesn't do anything? I'd love a Turbo, but I'd still stay with the 964T, not that liquid stuff you run.

I guess you are asking about the fan belt light .
When the fan belt breaks , a light on the dash lights up to tell you you are running without cooling and the motor will be toasty hot if you do not pull over and get a new fan belt on asap .

Seems obvious, but check the firing order on both distributor caps. #2 and #4 were swapped on the primary cap when I purchased the car. There was a recent dealer-service receipt for new caps and rotors, and a passing emissions report. The car ran fine, but better with the correct firing order on both distributors. Every firing order error will have a different outcome, and it is an easy mistake to make with 12 wires to keep straight.

Each connector has a metal locking clip located below the writing, "MTR 03 0227100124." Push the clip in and then pull down on the connector and it will separate.
