I have the stands, any chance of getting 2 flat top posts for the front or does anyone want to trade to flats for two cupped? The cups are great for torsion bar points. I would like the flats for the front stand points on the 944.
Thanks,
Jeff

AC Jacks / Canada / Shipping
Let me add a few comments to this discussion. AC Hydraulics is now imported to the US (from Denmark) through ESCO in Florida. They are good people and have done much more to support the product line than Stertil Koni (the previous importer) ever did. There are currently (as of 5/18) 140 pieces of the 3000N-flat top in stock.
Most of the distributors (Pelican, ASE, etc) take orders for AC products and have them drop shipped from the importer. This way there is no duplicate shipping costs to drive up the end user's price, no inventory costs and no shipping and handling . As such, these distributors are often willing to work on very low (5-10%) margins.
Unfortunately, ESCO cannot legally drop-ship orders to Canada (due to agreements in place with the manufacturer) . If there is enough demand from Canadian list members and from folks willing to pickup their orders at my place in NJ, I will put in a large enough stock order to get the freight paid from FL to NJ. This means NY/NJ customers can pick their orders up without any freight cost (cost with NJ sales tax would be $181.90/pair) and I fill any Canadian orders from stock...there are no legal restrictions on me selling to Canada.
(Note - for pickup customers, I can also have DK20 and DK13 jacks added to this order at special group buy pricing...DK20 for $330.00, DK20Q for $362.00 and DK13HLQ for $515.00. All jacks will be inspected, setup and adjusted as needed when picked up at my location in Emerson, NJ...see http://www.ultimategarage.com/ach-ultgar.html for details)
The last time I did a group buy with Rennlist, the entire order (170 stands and at least 10 floor jacks) was coordinated by a list member (Jamie Ford) in Southern NJ. He took all the names, collected all the funds, and did all the shipping. The entire order (over 2000 lbs) was shipped to him, freight prepaid. Cost of the stands (exactly 3 years ago) with all his efforts was $150.00/pair. The current $170.00 is not bad considering the 25% price increases since 2004 and the time and cost of handling individual orders.
There must be at least 40 stands ordered for this group buy to occur and once I place the order with the importer, the deal will be closed. I say this because, in the past, I've had stragglers coming in 2-6 weeks later asking for the Group Buy pricing. I need a firm order at my end to be able to negotiate a better deal with the importer to make this happen.

I was wondering if you can get the 1500N jack stands with the flattop rubber pads? If so I would prefer to have 2 pairs of these and if I need to buy them outside the group buy that is ok with me. My race car weights 2200 lbs and I don't think I need the heavier duty 3000N units.
I would also like to purchase the DK13HLQ long reach floor jack and optional rubber pad. Let me know what you can do jwerion@aol.com
Thanks Justin

Cool - I guess we are up to 18 pairs (36 stands) so we are almost at the minimum for the GB to go ahead.
Matt: thanks for keeping the list up to date and sorry for getting your location wrong.

I am in for 2 pair (4 total) of the 3000N flat top jack stands.
Steve D I will also take one of the DK13HLQ Long reach jacks with the optional rubber jack pad. You have sent me an e-mail with the $ amount did that price include a discount for this group buy?

I will honor the same pricing quote for "pickup customers" for any jacks shipped here in the US (continental US only)..... DK20 for $330.00, DK20Q for $362.00 and DK13HLQ for $515.00 (plus $25.00 for a rubber jackpad) but these orders will be dropshipped from the importer. If I have to start handling, inspecting and repackaging, this adds about 30 minutes time to the overall procedure. Freight from the importer on a DK20 jacks, approx 75 lbs ship weight, runs approx $60. Freight on a DK13 , approx 102 lbs, is approx $80 . The jacks cannot be drop shipped to Canada.
If you want your jack inspected (the handle screws also get replaced with stainless...see http://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/p...roducts_id=871 ....add $30.00 to the cost of the jack. Picking up at my place is really your best value...assuming you live within an hour of NY city / Northern NJ.
