http://www.amazon.com/Camco-44561-Ol...280133&sr=1-13 tom Funny, I actually ordered a set of those in my quest to find flat top jackstands. They might support your riding lawn mower. They're really for leveling corners on a travel trailer. I'd be scared to use them even for that. Sent them right back. Steve |

Great thread for a recently new owner (8 months or so) I actually jacked my cars front end up this weekend, just for the heck of it, and was also wondering how you get the car on stands. I never thought of doing it from the rear point......duh.
185 does seem high for stands, but I doubt the guy with a 964 crushing his upper half will be thinking "well at least I saved 120 bucks" I have nice set of axle type stands but the ones pictured have a much wider base. |

I purchased a set the last time this was active. They are worth the money - plenty of height and less worries about safety or car damage. Also no need to fidget with wood blocks to protect the jack pad. There is a seller on eBay that sells a nice set of aluminum pucks that twist-lock into the holes in the jacking pads. Those end all risk of snagging the shark fin when you lower the jack.

I have used them. The only issue is they look like they belong in a display case. I hated to get them dirty and scratched. They install easily and stay put until you give them half a turn.
