Default Cabriolet to Speedster Conversion

Is it possible to convert a 964 cabriolet to a speedster? If so what would be involved in the conversion? How difficult / expensive would this be?

It's all body work stuff... the bolt-in windshield frame is different, the side glass windows are different (curved at the back), the framework for the top operation is totally different, and the manual top is different. The parts alone would cost a ton... the PET has all the parts you'd need. The labor to chop off and weld the screw-in mounts for the windshield and the subsequent body work to bled the windshield removal would cost a bit, too. I think you might end up spending close to what you could get by just purchasing a Speedster!!!

Top assy is straight bolt on. Use a 94 windshield assy as they are easier to mount. Buy a pair of Speedster doors complete with glass and seals, a clamshell and there you have it. As conversions go, fairly easy.
