Colo964:

Any chance the 993 part can be retrofitted?

You didn't change wheel size tyres combination did you? Are you over the 6% that the abs need to work properly?

I guess the 993 and 964 are interchangeable as I have one of each in my c4.

I managed to get the 964 version one apart and clean out all the filings, but the 993 (Part no. 993.606.153.00) version one seems quite well sealed!

One other question, are the positions of the accelerometers interchangeable as well? IE, can you put the lateral one in the longitudinal position and vice versa? They have the same 3 pin connector so I assume they aren't specific to direction?

also what is "Stossempfindlich"? It's printed on a red sticker on the end of the 993 accelerometer. It's also below the number "666" printed on the end of the box

edit:
I used the search function in the forum and:
1. it seems the 993 version doesn't need the level of cleaning the 964 version does,
2. the accelerometers are apparently interchangeable for position, it's just the orientation of them that is important, and
3. Strossempfindlich apparently means shock sensitive!
