Default Carrera RS spotted in Southern Maryland

Every so often I see a silver 964 Carrera RS driving around St. Mary's County in Southern Maryland. The other day I saw it again, it looked like it had some damage to the driver's side. Anyone know who it is? Anyway nice car, spoiler looks hot!

Is it real? What is leading you to believe it is a RS?

Ah. A RS is significantly different than a RSA. I got excited there for a minute.

Definitely! But I'm sure that if somebody successfully imported a street-legal RS in the States we'd know about it

Now you did it.......
The next thing you'll hear will be the 'seam welded tubs, rolled fenders, crinkled paint, 'blueprinted' motors' being used to assemble the RSAmericas......

IIRC, Steve Patti down in Texas imported a yellow RS which was DOT/EPA allowed or 'exempted'.
He runs the www.euro-rs.com website for locating RS and Cups/Supercups from Europe.

Lewis, if my RSA is seam welded, should I use 0W-40 or 15W-50? With that information we should be able to determine what H & N I should buy and what tow vehicle I should use.

Thanks!

OK, so we'll add "RSA folklore" to the following list of Rennlist items sure to use up John D's disk space:

Oil Viscosity
Head & Neck Restraints
Tow vehicles

There have been a few 964 RS imported, not cheap. There were 45 built just for the US.

By the way, there is a 93 RS America (NOT RS) coupe for sale that only has 1400 miles on it, for $79500.
