Default Momo steering wheel

Has anyone fitted this wheel? I have a mod 07 and I don't like the dished wheel feel. I have long arms, 6ft 3", and like to reach out when driving. This wheel will fit on my existing momo hub and the red buttons will allow me to hook up the horn.

Curious if anyone has or had one?

Cheers

Mark

I have one in my car. I switched to it from the Mod7/cup wheel because the quick release put the wheel too close. I don't have/use a horn.

Tom, Do you like the wheel? Do you know how the buttons hook up, are they pre-wired and run down the spokes to the hub?

I have a mod 7 and its way too dished for me, I prefer a flat wheel.

Cheers

The buttons simply come with wires terminated at a spade plug that could connect to something in the hub. You will need to figure out a way to make it work, it is not plug and play.

It takes a bit to get used to the "bumps" at 2 & 10 o'clock. They are not big enough to fill your hands. I think I usually have my "pinkie" fingers below the cross brace and the others above and on the bumps while driving to keep my hands at about 9 & 3. The mod 7 was a bit better in that regard. Otherwise, I like the wheel fine. It was the best option for a wheel with no dish to it.

Just sent you a PM about your mod 7. If you ever want to sell, shoot me a PM.

Thanks

I just bought a Mod 7 and find the rim too thin (30mm). Is this the standard? It appears to be given the specs on Momo website, but they look much thicker on photos I've seen. I have another Momo wheel and it is about 38-40mm which is a lot nicer to hold.
